Robert Llewellyn // Fully Charged
Emirates EVRT Launch event & An Evening With EVRT: Ras Al Khaimah

Robert is a comedian, actor, presenter and writer from the UK, and since 2010 he has forged a strong position as an automotive journalist. His weekly online show, Fully Charged, receives millions of viewers a month as he educates an international audience on the latest in electric vehicle technology. Robert will be joining the Emirates EVRT to film an episode of his show as well as sharing his expertise as a speaker.

Sébastien Arbola // Engie

Sébastien Arbola is the CEO of ENGIE Middle East, South & Central Asia and Turkey. He has worked in the ENGIE Group since 2006, starting as a Senior Finance Officer, in charge of the Execution Team managing the merger between Gaz de France (GDF) and SUEZ. In 2009, he joined the Finance Department as Head of M&A and, in 2012 became M&A Group Director for GDF SUEZ. In 2013, he moved to SUEZ Environment Asia as CFO & Senior VP.

Mr. Diab is Senior Director of Strategy & Planning at Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and Secretary General of Emirates Energy Award. His is actively involved in strategic development of diversified energy sources, demand & supply management in Dubai and devising work plans for achieving Dubai Integrate Energy Strategy 2030.

Karim El-Jisr is Director of The Sustainable City Innovation Centre. He has held many high profile sustainability positions in the MENA region including the World Bank, ECODIT and Executive Council of the Government of Dubai. He currently lives in The Sustainable City Dubai. 
 

 

Ivano Iannelli // DCCE
Emirates EVRT Key note Speaker Conference

Ivano is currently managing Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence, the Dubai-based environmental economics think-tank in partnership with United Nations and World Bank. He has 20 years of experience in development economics of which half in the region. He currently oversees the UAE’s green house gases inventory and strategies for numerous government entities and industries, including private sector companies.

Dr Deepti Mahajan Mittal is Project Manager – Footprint, Climate and Energy, at Emirates Wildlife Society in association with WWF (EWS-WWF). Here she is leading research and engagement activities in development of sustainable energy policies for the UAE.
 

Simon Mercado // ESCP

Professor Simon Mercado is currently Director of ESCP Europe Business School in London. Simon holds a PhD in International Political Economy (IPE) and a Masters’ in International Relations (IR). His primary research interest is in the internationalisations of higher education and commercial services and he has published on issues related to international management and education, including a widely adopted textbook on European Business (Pearsons). His teaching interests and history span international strategy, cross-cultural management and European marketing.

Wiebe Wakker from Plug Me In started the mother of all road trips in March '16: driving without money to Australia with his electric car and recently got stuck in the UAE. He has been promoting e-mobility and sustainability and it is probably no coincidence that he is here.

Jordan Spasovski is a Macedonian expat residing in Abu Dhabi. He is an Air Traffic Controller, and EV enthusiast and supporter. Jordan owns a Tesla Model S, and is taking part in the Emirates EVRT with his electric vehicle. He will discuss the experience of “owning an EV in the UAE” at the panel discussion at The Sustainable City on 1st  of Feb, 2017.

Peter is a Principal Environmental Studies and Research Specialist with the Environment Department of the Dubai Municipality. He supports initiatives on sustainability, protected areas, Car Free Day, air quality, climate change and environmental awareness. Peter has 35+ years of related experience from Canada, Oman, Qatar and the UAE.

Peter Stubbs is Director of Compliance and Safety for Jumeirah Group. He is a qualified Environment Health professional with additional specialisms in HSE. His role includes managing elements of Jumeirah's sustainability strategy and takes the lead on innovative projects ensuring they are compatible to the needs of the Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah guests.
